Your accommodation preferences will be met in the form of dorms, homestays, and shared apartments. Additionally, all housing options are located in neighborhoods with convenient access to public transportation, shops, and restaurants. Most students live in an on-campus residence hall with a mix of 슬롯머신 students and resident assistants. 

Standard Housing:슬롯사이트¯Includes one of the following options: (1) a single room at a homestay, (2) accommodation in a triple or quad room at 슬롯머신 Berlin, or (3) - if dorm capacity is exceeded - a double room off-campus in a슬롯사이트¯shared apartment/residence hall located within 45 minutes of 슬롯머신. Homestays슬롯사이트¯feature a kitchen, living room, and bathroom shared with a host family.슬롯사이트¯Off-campus shared apartments offer kitchens, common areas, and laundry facilities (for fee) shared with슬롯사이트¯other students.슬롯사이트¯Triples and quad rooms on campus offer an en-suite bathroom and are fully furnished and equipped with a fridge, microwave, and Wi-Fi. Academics

As a global intern in Berlin, you슬롯사이트™ll work in a non-paying position within a wide range of opportunities across a diverse set of industries. Extracurricular excursions and cultural activities in and around Berlin complement your coursework and immerse you in the history and culture of the city. 

This semester length program includes 6 weeks of academic coursework and a 12-week part-time internship and internship course. During the initial 6-week block of academic coursework, participants enroll in two elective Open Campus courses. In addition to the required 6-week block of courses at the start of the program, participants are also provided the option to take one additional Open Campus course during Block II and/or Block III should their schedules allow. Class environment varies depending on the course and is designed to follow U.S. academic culture and standards. All internships are offered in English, but an international environment is to be expected.

ASU offers thousands of online courses in asynchronous sessions that fit within the 슬롯머신 academic calendar, so you can study abroad with 슬롯머신 while continuing to meet all your academic goals.

Additional Requirements

Students participating in the Berlin Semester Global Internship program must maintain full-time student status at their home university while participating in the 슬롯머신 program and must have matriculated full-time at their home university at least three months prior to application. Students should be prepared to obtain a signed letter from their home university confirming student matriculation details.슬롯사이트¯

Upon completing the two electives during the first six-week block, students participate in an academic course taught in an online learning environment alongside the 12-week internship. The two 6-week elective courses, internship course, and the internship are all required components of the program.슬롯사이트¯슬롯사이트¯

Academic Culture

슬롯머신 courses are designed to follow U.S. academic culture and standards. The class environment for elective courses typically features a combination of traditional lecture and discussion. The integrated academic course, which correlates with the 12-week internship, is taught primarily in an online learning environment to complement the internship experience. Students are expected to dress and behave professionally throughout their internship and are subject to the agreed-upon internship protocols arranged by 슬롯머신 and the host organization. 

ASU Courses: You may find yourself in classes with students from ASU, other American universities, and students from around the world. Some are earning their degrees entirely online, while others, like you, are supplementing their education with an online course. You슬롯사이트™ll receive direct and individualized support from faculty, 100% online. Most ASU online courses are asynchronous, meaning there are no set log-in times, but make sure to verify this before the add/drop deadline in case you want to make a change.

Class Format

Students begin by taking two 슬롯머신 elective courses offered on a 6-week academic block system. All courses are customized for and open only to 슬롯머신 students. Elective classes include a combination of lectures, group work, presentations, and discussions. The second part of the program includes a 12-week 슬롯머신 internship and academic course and optional 슬롯머신 elective courses. Except for the required Internship course, all courses are offered with the 슬롯머신 Open Campus program and will therefore be shared with students on the program, and many are available in multiple 슬롯머신 locations. To help ensure you are able to enroll in the courses you need, some courses may be facilitated as a Hybrid course by an instructor from a location that is separate from your own. In a Hybrid course, you will learn either face-to-face or online, depending on your location. However, regardless of your location, you will apply what you learn from the instructor and course materials in your location. 

ASU online courses meet in 슬롯사이트œsessions슬롯사이트 that are 7.5 weeks long in semesters and 6 weeks long in the summer, and all work must be completed within the session dates regardless of when your other 슬롯머신 courses begin or end. You슬롯사이트™ll need a standard PC or Mac desktop or laptop computer with a download speed higher than 25 Mbps, as well as access to email, productivity software like Microsoft Office and other applications needed to perform a variety of educational functions. Most course materials you will need are available online. Since you are working mostly or entirely asynchronously, you슬롯사이트™re given deadlines for your assignments by your instructor or in your syllabus, but you can work at your own pace within these due dates. Most instructors suggest a recommended pace to optimize your learning, but you have the flexibility to complete your ASU courses while pursuing your studies at your 슬롯머신 location.

Grading

The U.S. grading scale of A-F is used. Final grades are based on class participation, homework, individual project work, presentations, and midterm and final exams. In the integrated academic course, which correlates with the 12-week internship, students should expect to be assessed via assignments, as outlined in the syllabus. Internship supervisors provide a written evaluation of progress toward internship goals at the conclusion of the placement. 

ASU grading follows the same format and standards as ASU courses taught in-person. As a U.S. institution of higher education, the grading practices should be familiar to any 슬롯머신 student. ASU awards grades of "A+," "A," "A-," "B+," " B," "B-," "C+," "C," "D," or "E.슬롯사이트 슬롯사이트œPass/fail슬롯사이트 or 슬롯사이트œAudit슬롯사이트 is not allowed for 슬롯머신 students. Please see the 슬롯머신 Academic Manual for Students for more information about your grades.

    Some 슬롯머신 courses are offered in a hybrid format to make them available at multiple program locations and increase your course choices. A hybrid class is taught synchronously in a classroom in one location, and students in the program at other 슬롯머신 locations join live online.
