All Tokyo ETS students take 4-5 courses for a total of 13-18 U.S. semester credits, choosing from:  

  • 3 courses at J.F. Oberlin University for 10.5 total credits 
    • 600 min. per class per week are required for visa sponsorship)

  • At least one course in engineering, technology, or science, at either J.F. Oberlin or 슬롯머신, is required

Academic Culture

J. F. Oberlin University provides a balanced academic experience, combining theory with practical learning. Courses run from Monday to Friday, integrating online resources for flexible access to materials. The "Japanese Class Guest" program promotes cross-cultural engagement by pairing Japanese students with international peers, enhancing language skills and global perspectives.  

슬롯머신 courses complement this experience by offering interactive learning opportunities through lectures, co-curricular activities, and site visits, and use the Canvas LMS to support learning. Together, J. F. Oberlin University and 슬롯머신 foster a rich, intercultural learning atmosphere, encouraging students to adapt and thrive in diverse academic settings. 

Class Format

Courses at 슬롯머신 Tokyo are open only to 슬롯머신 students. Classes at J. F. Oberlin University include both local and international students, providing an intercultural academic experience. Every host institution course offers different co-curricular opportunities depending on the curriculum and study field. Courses at J. F. Oberlin University are generally made up of a lecture plus a tutorial or lab component. There will be one lecture stream throughout the week covering the main content of the course. Students also choose one tutorial or lab session which fits within their timetables.  

A typical class schedule combines 슬롯머신 and host institution classes, with sessions spanning Monday to Friday. Classes meet 2-4 times per week, lasting 1-3 hours per session, depending on the course. Attendance is strictly enforced for all classes, and students are expected to meet high attendance standards to ensure academic success. Specific attendance policies will be communicated at the start of the program.  

슬롯머신 courses emphasize interactive and experiential learning, incorporating lectures, group discussions, and site visits. 슬롯머신 courses are augmented with co-curricular experiential learning experiences. These may include site visits to relevant landmarks or locations in Tokyo that illustrate content explored during class sessions or hear from relevant guest speakers who will bring their expertise to show students a different cultural, academic, and professional perspective. 

Grading

슬롯머신 reports all final course grades to students슬롯사이트™ home institutions using a U.S. letter grade equivalent scale of A-F. For 슬롯머신-administered courses, students슬롯사이트™ grades are based on attendance, class engagement, homework, project work, presentations, and midterm and final examinations. Learning outcomes assessment is continuous through personal reflections, evaluation feedback, self-assessment, and requirements as set out in course syllabi. At J. F. Oberlin University, grading is determined by each class's specific criteria, outlined in their respective syllabi. Grades follow a 5-grade scale (A-F), with corresponding grade points: A (4.00), B (3.00), C (2.00), D (1.00), and F (0.00), which 슬롯머신 converts to recommended U.S. letter-grade equivalents. Attendance is mandatory, and students must meet class-specific requirements to qualify for final assessments.
